Valentine's Gifts for Guys and Gals

Can you believe that we're exactly 2 weeks out from Valentine's Day?!?  It seemed to creep up fast this year.  In celebration of this "holiday of love" I'll be posting some Valentine's Day (or at least red and pink...and some heart) crafts, recipes, fashion, and decor ideas.  Today we'll start with some gift ideas under $50 for the guys and gals in your life - the family, friends, and love/stud muffins...

We'll start with the ladies:

The two-sided heart tote ($49) from Fluff Co. is fun all year round.  It also comes in a tan color with a large brown heart, for the more fashionably subdued ladies in your life.

Super cute Ania tumblers (4 for $30) from Gretel Home are perfect for some orange juice with breakfast in bed.

I {heart} these burlap love pillows ($30 each) from Cost Plus World Market.  The perfect touch to your couch, chair, or bed.

Adorable turquoise heart drop earrings ($48) from Anthropologie.  They also come in a purple amethyst stone.

A "heartful" serving bowl and spoon ($40) from Burke Decor can serve as a colorful reminder of your love at every meal.

Blood orange scented body butter ($25) and scented candle ($32) from the Australian Mor Cosmetics line are beautifully packaged and sublimely luxurious when put to use.

Heart cards aren't just for Valentine's Day...these pretty-in-pink cards (8 for $10.50) from Paper Source are useful year-round.

The ever-practical heart spatula ($10) from Paper Source can lend a helping hand in making some heart-shaped pancakes...or circle ones with some raspberry syrup. :)

Last gift idea for the ladies, then we move on to the guys.  I found this adorable handmade pillow ($25) on Etsy by 645 Workshop.  Graphic and simple...and so fun!

And, now, for the gents - I admit there are fewer, but sometimes guys are tough to shop for:

A red retro spot-light alarm clock ($30) from Target.com makes those early-morning wake ups a bit more tolerable.

A professional shave is the perfect way to paper your manly-man - the perfect "spa treatment" for a guy.  At The Art of Shaving, they offer a 30 minute Traditional Shave ($35) which includes hot towels, essential oils, hot shaving cream, and a straight razor shave (they even lather and shave twice...so thorough!).  My husband has done this and can vouch that he loves it.  The Art of Shaving offers gift cards and has locations all across the US - click {here} to see if they have a location near you.

The uber cool hot rod travel mug ($25) has a temperature gauge and can be plugged in for re-warming.

I saw this and had to put it on here...the Man Cave Book ($11 on Amazon.com) is for the man who is planning his dream man cave or dreaming to plan a man cave.  A fun literary addition to an office or his bedside table.

A cool print ($15) from Etsy by Define Design 11 shows off his love for a hometown, favorite city, or memorable location.  A conversation starter for any room.

Now, to show a little love for anyone:

I saw this beautiful arrangement Valentine-hued tulips on RedEnvelope.com and was shocked to see that they start at $37, for 20 stems and a glass vase.  It's tough to find a fresh bouquet of flowers for that price anymore....and roses are overrated.

And lastly, we have a cute and crafty FREEBIE!  This 8.5 x 11 printable by Beth Proudfoot of the It Is What It Is blog can be easily downloaded {here} for free.  Print it out and frame it, or use it to front a notecard, or wrap a candy bar, as she shows on her blog...

Hopefully these gift ideas get your gears turning.  Only 13 shopping days left!  -Kristen
