Have you seen it?!? The HGTV Dream Home for 2013 is pretty amazing, to say the least! Here are a few of my favorite shots from this coastal marsh-lands home built just 20 minutes from Charleston, S.C. in the Indigo Park neighborhood of beautiful Kiawah Island.
The Front Porch - a little Asian zen with a craftsman influence
Powder Bath - how fun is that pop of lime?!?
Entry Hall - blue with rustic textural elements
Kitchen - loving the taupe cabinets, glass backsplash, and that stove...the green walls, not so much
Butler's Pantry - gray and white, wine fridge...does it get any better than that?
Dining Room - great flow from the entry, through the dining room, and into the great room
Great Room - hello, high ceilings!
Master Bedroom - nice rug and nice walk-out to the back deck
Master Bath - neutral, but in a good classic way
Upstairs Loft - graphic indoor/outdoor fabric and red tables add a huge dose of fun
Guest Bedroom #1 - serene and simple, yet refined
Guest Bath #1 - clean lines + white linens = great bath
Guest Bedroom #2 - the turquoise in this room makes me smile (and dance a little on the inside!)
Guest Bath #2 - perfect complement to the above room
Garage Playroom - who doesn't want hanging beds, a big-screen TV, and a ping-pong table off the garage?
Garage - check out that shiny (and slippery!?!) concrete floor waiting for an oil spill (enter sarcasm)
Back Deck w/ Plunge Pool - a little paradise in the backyard plus a plunge pool cherry on top
What do you think of the cool coastal color scheme of greens, blues, and grays?
Which of the above rooms is your favorite? I love the kitchen and dining room with that AWESOME butler's pantry. Oh, and that upstairs loft space is pretty phenomenal with the exposed beams!
Any items you totally love? My favorite items are the Ethan Allen four-poster beds in both of the upstairs guest rooms - that white spindle bed and the twin turquoise beds are super gorgeous.
Enjoy and don't forget to enter the HGTV Dream Home sweepstakes daily for your chance to win the house, all the furnishings, $500,000 dollars (to pay the extensive property taxes...ahem), and the uber cool GMC crossover SUV! (or don't, and give me a better chance of winning...wink, wink)
